Blake Island State Park as most Seattleites probably know, is nearly straight out from Alki. It’s a quick trip if conditions are nice, and you can hammer down the throttle and fly over. We lucked out and conditions were smooth-ish on the way out, and even smoother on the way back to Don Armeni Ramp.
When we arrived we snagged a spot on the dock for ease of loading and unloading a child unit. Then off to a picnic table to bbq up some costco dogs before deciding on the rest of the plan. Next up we played at the park, then a beach walk, and then we hiked around on the island for awhile before loading up and heading back. An excellent day on the water, albeit it reminded me why we were looking into a bigger boat for cruising and diving.
